As Steve has stated many times far more diplomatically - no, our 98 is shit when it comes to knock compared to US 93.

I think there is more to it than just that. Here in Melb I have had far less issues with knock than the QLD boys seem to have. I don't know whether I get better fuel or if it is temp/humidity that they have that causes the knock.

I think it the temp unless our fuel is different but thats unlikely.

I don't thing the E85 tunes change in the V2 releases compare the V1.5 and V2 american E8 tunes.

I gotta agree with Wayno that our 98 is just crap. Even jamesm commented how bad it was when he was e-tuning my car....and it was winter over here!

I haven't got time to search right now but I thought I read it had been refined particularly on a otherwise stock 86/BRZ. But you may be right, I'll look later so I am not totally disappointed when it does drop. I am positive it at least has a new MAF scale tho.

They are on E10 mostly.
I would put my money on the cooler mix from the ethanol.

Although I don't have a before and after on my car, I did a dyno run halfway through the tuning just to check AFR's and numbers, and it was 130kW on a Dynapack. But the biggest improvement I can feel is the smoother midrange torque.
