CTMP/Mosport, it's a requirement while other smaller tracks like TMP it isn't. IMO, helmets should be a requirement for any track event.

You can get an entry level HJC helmet at JRP and has the SA2015 starting at $329 and it goes up from there to $659 (prices this past June when I was looking for a new one).

There were also a limited number of loaner helmets available... I couldn't imagine lapping at more than slow speeds without a helmet, just feels wrong. It was even strange driving during alligator lapping at lunch without a helmet, even though I didn't hit more than ~80km/h.

As for pictures/video, I had my camera and gopro there but they stayed in their bags all day I was too busy to even think about taking any pictures.

For anyone that was there, I was the guy with the computer at check in. I was trying to keep mental track of who I knew from the forums, but wasn't doing a good job of it at all

I was gonna ask for a ride along, but your car was parked at the front of the grid for some time

The price of a SPDA lapping day with a helmet is sometimes cheaper than another group's lapping day fees

Safety before all else. I have lapped with touge before but I always bring my helmet.

It's not you it's the other guy you gotta watch out for.

Yeah, I was parked up there because I was constantly doing different things. I was helping grid everyone, plus coaching, plus getting in some lapping.

I typically knew about 30 seconds before I went out that I was going out for a session

Definitely ask next time, always willing to bring along a passenger!

Opposite for me. If there was no helmet requirement, I'd just assume there was no interest in safety at the event, at any level.

Touge requires you to wear a helmet if you drive a convertible. Thats another reason i went with a BRZ instead of a S2000.

You should make it a requirement to be on track in all vehicles, period.
