Areddi, what winter tyres did you choose? Looking for some recommendations for the DMV area for my first time on RWD in the winter.

I run the Firestone Winterforces, which were middle of the road cost tire. For something I only have on for 3 months, it works fine and will last forever. Blizzaks are popular as a "performance" winter, but honestly any winter tire is probably fine.

Blizzaks are super cheap now on tire rack also. Under $400 for a set. I'm probably going to grab a set if I can't find any used ones.

Winterforces are even cheaper than Blizzaks on Tirerack by like $10. Which would you do?

Actually Tirerack has quite a few sub-$100 winter tires available in 205/55-16. Decisions decisions....

I've discovered that as long as it's not over the front bumper, my car is fine (on Blizzaks). So maybe 5"? I have pics of snow-packed roads that my car handled without an issue.
