Lol, no thanks. I wouldn't do that in a manual car so no idea what he was referring to.

Good luck at finding a New CLA at MSRP.
Well you could always do this one common thing called ordering a car from a dealership. So yes, yes you can buy it for MSRP.

You can compare all you want, the truth is you can not find a base S3 on the lot. STI is however everywhere, beside the high demand they have now.

Also, AWD system on the STI is superior to anything on the market. Remember, STI is Rally inspired, not AWD inspired car. STI will take on winter, rainy, gravel, tarmac....etc Road conditions with confidence.

The CLA45AMG is good looking on paper, bad looking on the road/in person, and perform worse than the STI on a race track.

Given that the only 3 Subaru dealerships near me (within a metro population center of 2 million people) have a grand total of 4 WRXs (3 at one dealership, 1 at another, 0 at another) and none of them are STIs I am going to say no, STI is not everywhere. And this is nothing new. The previous generation STI was the same way, ie difficult to find. The STI has been out for several months and in that time I've seen one with my own eyes.

The STI definitely has a better AWD system. I thought the S3 was coming with the Quattro AWD system but instead it's just the AWD system from VW, that is also being used on the Golf R.

STI is the best around a race track for sure, but only by a slim margin.

C&D's Lightning Lap results have been leaked out, and the Mercedes AMG CLA AMG whipped the sh*t out of the STI. Almost 10 seconds a lap faster

For reference, the Camaro Z/28 was only 7 seconds slower than the Porsche 918

I have to say, that's a little hard to believe, especially after all the reports I've heard of the CLA45's understeering tendencies...

CLA AMG does low 12s compared to the STI's low 13s.

That alone is enough to make 10 seconds at the Nur

Sure, I'd believe 10 seconds at the ring, but isn't the Lightning Lap at VIR?

Good point.

Even at VIR I don't find it hard to believe. Both are AWD.

It's 4.6 seconds for WRX STi. 9.6 seconds is for regular WRX.

I'm amazed with Camaro Z/28 performance...

That sounds a little more believable. As for the Z/28, it is pretty amazing. Chevy has really gotten great at making relatively inexpensive cars that go astonishingly fast around a racetrack.

Not sure why people claim Subaru's AWD is superior.

Mitsubishi clearly had the more advanced AWD system with AYC.
On top of that GTR and Honda's SH-AWD are all more advanced and performance oriented. Audi and Subaru has good AWD system, but they are not the best when there are definitely better out there.

Mercedes CLA AMG uses Haldex, the same in the Golf R, and also an inferior dual clutch gearbox compared to VW.

The CLA45 AMG was about 5 seconds per lap faster than the new STI. Here are the unofficial leaked results:

Interesting that Focus ST fanbois were claiming it would whoop the BRZ stock v. stock, but they were actually within ~1 second of each other.

Also interesting that the BRZ was faster than the MK7 GTI.

Everyone calls VIR grand a power track, but seems like it's a mix of both.
