New Brz or CPO Audi TTS?
I was pretty much set on the BRZ but saw a 2011 CPO Audi TTS with 18k miles for 40.8k. Never really looked in to the TTS but I've always been a fan of Audi's. I feel like the TTS might be a better DD over the BRZ.
What do you guys think? |

What do you want, AWD or RWD? German or Japanese? ~$30K OTD or $41K + taxes?
The cabin on the Audi will likely be plushier, but I can't speak as to the layout which is actually as or more important than material. Since it's CPO I won't say anything about traditional German car problems. Just that you should get rid of it before the CPO warranty is over. And to check that price; seems awful high. |

I think for the bang for your buck, BRZ all the way. Also the cargo space in the BRZ is respectable. I was able to fit 2 golf bags, and 2 foldable push carts.
and you will get more looks on the BRZ :P

I've never driven a TT, so take this with many grains of salt, but I really don't get why that car would even be on a short-list at that price when you could get a really nice Cayman or a supremely set-up 135i (if you need the 4 seats) for the money. Or a 996 (everyone hates on the 996 but its still a 911 and would make a solid daily).
I'm not really a fan of AWD though, so v0v. I guess it depends on what kind of daily driving you do as well-- I'm sure the Audi would be a nicer place to sit if you haven't got any fun roads around. Personally if I had that kind of money to spend I'd be really, really tempted to pick up a lowish mileage 135i. Replace the suspension, add a nice exhaust, possibly chip it and add bigger wheels + tires. They're monstrously quick cars when set up properly, a lot of fun to drive, and incredibly practical as a dd... and certainly a ton of car for the money. |

I've owned an A4 Quattro 2.8...loved that car, but the maintenance (like all German cars) is very expensive. I haven't driven a TT, but I'm sure it's a lot of fun to drive and would probably be "more comfortable". My BRZ is a pure, raw driving experience. And I freakin' love that about it. You should drive them both and consider what you want out of your DD.

I'd go for the Yaris myself...wait, what?
Never was a fan of the TT style-wise. Go with the BRZ and save yourself some money for mods. |

Just keep in mind that used cars will always have OTHER people's sweaty ass print on it. By buying a used car you are essentially sitting on other people's body by-products and/or body fluid.

The Audi is faux-wheel drive. If its a DSG, prepare to shell an additional $450 on top of the haldex and rear diff changes every 40k. Also, haldex for the most part blows... It's a lame awd setup. You're 99.9% fwd, unless you lose any kind of traction. Also, the 2.0tfsi they use in it (not the tsi) is the same old problematic motor in the early gti's. while they may have fixed the pcv system, the hpfp and cam follower design still is awful.
For that price, get a used 911.
