Cool pics, thanks for sharing. I like how the white of the center-mounted tach matches the exterior, makes it feel like this car was meant to be white

I've been told by those who have seen it in person that this photo is about the best representation of what it looks like - stunning.

Here's a great closeup that really shows the subtle nature of the Whiteout:

Here's a pic I took specifically to try to show the detail of the metallic flakes that don't come across in photos. The color in this photo is accurate to what it looked like in real life (on my monitor at least) but the red tint was from the low setting sun. In full daylight it does not look off white, it looks white like Ichi's photos above.

Well that first photo is clearly overexposed judging from the appearance of the surroundings. Second one looks closr to right on for bright direct sunlight.

But Whiteout is clearly NOT a pure white. The photo below from the 1st 86 session shows this directly. Compare the FR-S colour to the fresh pure-white paint stripes on the asphalt, as well as the pure Blizzard White on the iQ. A clear difference there with same lighting/camera/settings.

Then do you want me to keep going w all other white photos? Cuz surely, all of em have different color in them.

It's a waste to discuss which photo has right color. Everyone has different monitor, brightness, photo was taken different time of the day and angle of the sun/light. For some, one spacey's photo looks right... for some don't. That's what I'm getting at

You're missing the point of my last photo - ALL those photo variables you mention are held constant, the only difference is the objects in the one photo. And clearly the Whiteout is not a pure white, it has a creamy tone (at least on my professionally calibrated monitor in the industry-standard sRGB colour space). The whites may look a bit different on different monitors but the difference between the whites in the one photo will remain (unless a monitor is just horribly out of whack). No camera is going to manufacture those white differences; if its colour balance is incorrect, the white tones will be shifted all in one direction, but the differences will remain.

Heh, if you have a professionally calibrated monitor you must be well aware that pretty much no one on these forums is looking at the same color as you are.

you can also see the difference in the color of the wheels and the car in this photo. I think the photos don't do the color justice though, in reality it didn't look off white at all to me.

I don't know why this is so hard to grasp. Calibrated monitors or if you're looking through a cardboard box, the color is "creamy" in certain light.

It's also a little blue in bluish light.

And when it's over exposed, it's going to be...WHITE.

The IQ in the background in one of the pics above is a bluish white. I think it's Blizzard Pearl. Which is a different pearl than the one used on the FRS.

Seeing it in person as a first 86r i was impressed, very classy, however i stuck with raven because it just looks menacing and will go with many different wheel colors over the years...

The 5axis frs was raven....just saying

Cant go wrong with any color

I personally don't think that white will ever look ugly on a car.

This is actually VERY close to what the color looks like in person. The pearl is not as apparent as other colors. It's subtle.
