What are you looking for exactly?

There are the stock tunes for the vehicles, but as far as base maps, well there is not much. But once again what are you looking for.

Cheers,

yeah, wanted to know if there was like a stock map, just to know if you can just put the ecutek and run the car in stock form with it.

thanks

Why would you want to do that? That is a lot of money for arguably no gain. I get the logging functionality but even 100% stock with a 91/93 or E85 tune you could gain a significant amount of power with little to no risk to your BRZ/FRS/GT86.

Please do not think that I am judging just trying to understand your end goal.

Cheers,

-Nate

An ECUTek license will include access to all the stock tunes.

well all i wanted to know is if you go to a tuner to get the car started from scratch, is there a map to at least start with or is it like some standalones where you need to create EVERYTHING even before the car can be started. That was the reason for my question.

example, you buy a universal AEM EMS and put it in a car with a weird engine, it is a lot of work just to get it to idle.

I thought you just start with stock map? Not a blank like a standalone.

Then yes, whether a tuner works on your ROM or you do it yourself with a ProECU license. All of the stock ROM files are provided and available for you to start with.

Had a similar question, where do we get the stock map. This is given we have a license and the software, key...I would like to at least have a look at what ProECU BRZ looks like, one day to work on my own tune. Thanks

Your tuner should provide the stock ROM for you to view with EcuTeK RaceROM Upgrade: http://www.delicioustuning.com/node/276

We do provide free stock ROM's on all of our orders that are delivered with our kits, when shipped.

Send a message via AIM to Circuit Motorsports
When you purchase the EcuTek programming kit it includes a cable and software key along with instructions on downloading and installing the proECU BRZ software.
http://www.brz-parts.com/cms-ecu-cab.html

You get the stock maps as part of the proECU BRZ software install (downloads from EcuTek). EcuTek supplies the stock maps for all regions.

You may also purchase the RaceRom BRZ upgrade to get advanced features such as map switching, speed density, custom mapping, and more.

if you just want to get an idea what tables are in a rom and what can be done see the TACTRIX thread below.

their are links to Romraider and ecuflash and the definition files for roms and stock roms at end of post.

download romraider or ecuflash your stock rom and the matching definiton files and you can open rom and have a look at all the editable tables.

Ecutek is a bit differnet and has some extra features but it will give you some insight into the process.
