Well that's the Scion FR-S RS 1.0 cars so.......

It's kind of stupid that they come from the factory with the stock exhaust on the car only to remove the exhaust at port.

It's more than likely in response to some ridiculous import restriction we have in the US - that a car has to be in a saleable condition when it arrives, regardless of what's being done to kit it out before it hits dealer lots.

It's not unlike what Ford was having to do with the Transit Connect - importing them with a full wagon interior that they later tore out to convert them to "van" configuration. Laws that were passed when we had currency issues back in the day.

I ordered my April 19th, but they [the dealer] couldn't put in any orders until Scion actually started taking orders. I still don't understand how that works, but that's what my dealer was telling me.

Yes, all they could do is preference the vehicle and hope Toyota allocates one. Which they almost will always do...

Not so at the dealership where I got mine. Anything they added that were paid for in addition to the base price meant you still owned the original parts. I did not opt for the wheels and tires they had on it (were butt ugly) so they got swapped back to stock but did get the stock exhaust, springs and air filter parts. By the way if you squeeze things just right you can get the box from the TRD exhaust into the car!

This is correct. Anything added at the dealer means you keep the original they take off.

Hi, I'm new to the forum. I have a RS1.0 ordered, so I will soon be a happy frs owner, a yellow one too. My dealer said delivery would be around the end of Sept (CA). They are reportedly making and boating them right now and all cars should reach our side of the coast by mid Sept.

They should be here in 6 weeks if it follows the pattern of my FR-S. Mine got on the boat to the US in mid July and arrived to the dealer here in mid/late Aug.
