What's up with the tow strap? While I have no experience with them, I really don't trust some nylon strap bolted down to the frame to hold together while my car is being towed from it.

Welcome back BTW.

I think a tow strap is meant to yank you off and on a trailer, or out of a tire wall lol

Yeah that and if your car can still roll they'll use it to tow your car back into the pits. Which I've seen done multiple times at track events. For that purpose, I would not trust a strap.

They work just fine as long as you anchor them properly. I have both of mine wrapped around the bumper shocks and have been towed out using both:

The Sparco strap is rated to 6k lbs and mounts to my front bar. It is intended to pull the car out of a tire wall and on to a trailer. If your really wedged in a ditch I'm not sure how it would do.

keep up the great work!
Im not big on sound clips, they never give a real example of how it really sounds.

Thanks for the appreciation.

no turbos, goal is a track toy with low operating costs so I can work towards my goal of a competition license.

Soon I will be peeling the roof off the car to expand the roll bar into a roll cage.

The V8 is a chevy 5.3L
