It looks like my blood pressure meds might have been causing my chest pains. Low BP with my bad valve were causing the chest pains.
While that totally sucks, I wouldn't have ever gone in if i hadn't gotten the pains, and might have waited until something terrible happened. I'm freaked out about the operation, but I'm less scared now that I know it's going to be fixed. Not knowing was much worse. Doc said everything else is good, strong heart, good arteries, just a bad valve. Not being able to take pain meds is going to suck, but I'll get through this and I can't wait to fell better. Thanks for the kind words. |

I've been waiting for the surgeon to give a date for my surgery. FINALLY they called and I'm going in on the 4th for my heart valve replacement.
I'm getting a mechanical valve, so I'll be on blood thinners forever. They've lagged for months. My chest pains and symptoms getting worse every day, it sucks. I called every week, getting the run-around each time. We just had a decent sized earthquake here at 3:30 AM and I nearly had a heart attack, for Real! I can't drive my car because it makes my heart race and gives me massive chest pains. I'll be so happy when this is finished and done. |
