Last year My dad had his valve replaced with a mechanical valve along with stent placement, now he is healthier and more energy. He was 73 years old and he recovery in 2 weeks and went back to work at 4th week. I am sure you will do fine. Good luck !

It looks like my blood pressure meds might have been causing my chest pains. Low BP with my bad valve were causing the chest pains.

While that totally sucks, I wouldn't have ever gone in if i hadn't gotten the pains, and might have waited until something terrible happened.

I'm freaked out about the operation, but I'm less scared now that I know it's going to be fixed. Not knowing was much worse.

Doc said everything else is good, strong heart, good arteries, just a bad valve.

Not being able to take pain meds is going to suck, but I'll get through this and I can't wait to fell better.

Thanks for the kind words.

Just like I said, the more information you have, the better you will feel about it. Modern medicine gets better every day.

You can borrow my gopro as long as you promise to give it back. It's got a waterproof case in case it falls in accidentally.

I've been waiting for the surgeon to give a date for my surgery. FINALLY they called and I'm going in on the 4th for my heart valve replacement.

I'm getting a mechanical valve, so I'll be on blood thinners forever.

They've lagged for months. My chest pains and symptoms getting worse every day, it sucks. I called every week, getting the run-around each time.

We just had a decent sized earthquake here at 3:30 AM and I nearly had a heart attack, for Real!

I can't drive my car because it makes my heart race and gives me massive chest pains. I'll be so happy when this is finished and done.
