Idle was too low, so it would just cut out .. Adjusted idle to I think 700rpm and hasn't done it since .. Issue has been resolved

My car is at Prime Motoring now getting an FBM base kit with a gtx2867 and a bunch of other goodies. Can't wait to get it back. Why is this wait so hard?

Hey everyone, I was out working on my car today and I noticed a burning oil smell after pulling into my driveway. I can visibly see a pool of oil just to the right of the intake manifold, does anyone have any idea where it could be coming from right there? Any common leak spots? Oil pressure seems normal. :-\ Name: uploadfromtaptalk1408757060039.jpg

Does that kit tap an oil plug in that area?

I have a oil pressure sensor near there but I checked it and it doesn't look like it is leaking.

Yeah, I haven't really gotten too far into inspecting yet but I really can't tell. Hoping someone can come in on suggestions. Also hoping it's not serious.

That happened to me. I pulled my gallery tap, cleaned everything up, then re-installed it with high temp thread sealant. Haven't had any seepage since then.

Before going through the trouble of removing everything, I sprayed everything down with degreaser and cleaned the oily area up. Sure enough, after a couple of days, you could see traces of oil again.

shorter intercooler piping.

I am finally getting a chance to work on my car. I have been have some bad oil leaks after installing the full blown larger oil pan and moving my plate for my oil cooler but while doing this I decide to mess with my intercooler piping to see if I could make it travel more efficiently. as luck would have it with having moved my radiator forward about an inch it left a nice little gap down right below the radiator hose. The best part was on of the pipes from Fullblown that comes with the kit makes a perfect drop down to that spot. with the two rubber 90's all I need is about 6 to 8 inches of straight pipe to make the 180 degree turn and I have cut out about 2 ft or so of intercooler piping and reduced the bend by I believe 5 turns. from the experience of others on here are my beliefs correct that this will likely help with response time because the air will likely flow a little easier and has less time to take to get to the intake? for those wondering about the huge windshield wiper fluid container this does delete that but I have a smaller relocation one that I am installing that will give me more room down there. With that also being said because I no longer have piping that curves up and down through the head light area. I am thinking about rerouting the actual intake filter to go through that gap now and sit inside the fender area. I have made the trim pieces actually open up as well so that fresher air will flow there and I imagine a few degrees cooler then in front. I am hoping this helps as well. I don't believe any additional tuning should be required right? I am not increasing PSI and the tunes already adjust for temperature differences so I should just be benifiting from cooler air and hopefully a slightly more responsive throttle correct?

I;'ve been wanting to do something similar, but I'm using my window washer container for my meth injection resevoir. Unless I relocate to a different meth tank I won't be able to clean up the intercooler piping.

The intercooler piping can really be made a lot straighter/simpler/more efficient, it really winds around everywhere to be a direct bolt-on.
