Image courtesy of @Nafe ![]() The 9.5 +45 won't fit. The reason is because of the inner rim and tire contacting the spring. The solution to this is to run a 18x8.5 +42 all around. You can run a 245/35/18 NT01 on this wheel. NT01s run wide as well so this tire on the 8.5 +42 rim should fit for your situation. On another note, we would like to verify the fitment of the BBK. We have used the Essex AP Racing Endurance kit as a fit check, but it appears the TRD unit is approximately 15mm more outboard. http://www.essexparts.com/media/down...eltemplate.pdf |

Yes, that's the coilovers I have. I also have the TRD pillowball set and front camber plates. My tyre shop said they thought I had 69mm clearance with my 18x7.5 +21 (46mm with spacers) and I thought the 18x9.5 +45would be 49mm closer leaving me with 20mm clearance. I am running spacers and maybe they added that back or something though. Do you think I would only have 44mm clearance at the moment (69mm - 25mm spacer?). One of the options I have is the Volk ZE40 18x9" +40. do you think they would work? given I already have the TRD forged 18x7.5" wheels I can't really justify the cost to only go to 8.5" wide.

The actual clearance issue is the tire to spring issue. The alignment won't change this. It's a physical mounting point that has some clearance issues. If the OEM OD is actually smaller, then the 18x9.0 +44 may fit. The 9.5 +45 fits like a 9.0 +51 or an 8.5 +57 on the inboard section and a 9.0 +39 or 8.5 +33 on the outboard (face) section. With that said, the ZE40 may fit, but the most important part is that spring. If wheel doesn't contact it, it will fit, if it does, then it's no good. If you have extended studs, however, run a 7mm spacer on the 9.5 +45 wheel. ![]() Hope all this helps.

A click of the "thanks" button does not seem enough.
Just wanted to specifically thank @CSG David for his advice on this thread and more particularly the PMs we have been exchanging. Freight and duty costs mean it is likely I will need to source the TWS wheels in NZ but he has still been very patient and answered all my questions. Great when a vendor not only knows his product but has access to the manufacturers/suppliers in Japan to get confirmation of fit rather than just guessing to get a sale. Highly recommended.

So, think all should fit for me especially as I have changed to the TRD race springs and pillow ball set. The TRD springs I have don't taper, they are uniform all the way down with a smaller interior diameter. These are the TRD race springs I have that I had to get to fit the TRD pillow ball set

![]() We will have a set of 18x8.5 to use on our own car. The 9.5" wheel is too much wheel for our low powered car.

Do you know if the 18x9.5 +45 will fit with an Ohlins coilover?
Hell, maybe I'll just sell my set and go 18x8.5 since rubbing at full lock is very annoying. Quote:

With that said, the 9.5" +45 wheel will clear the Ohlins R&T coilovers. |
