You should post that in the Vishnu tuning BPB thread: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...t=62471&page=6

Last I heard Shiv is still not having any success making power with BPB and E85.
yeah man. thats what he told me even though everyone else said no. ive got the Ethanol content up to E77 and the car feels amazing. i need to get it back on the dyno.

you're the man

Well once John's BPB + E85 tuning secrets are reverse engineered or he divulges them himself (unlikely), then those of us with different tuners can replicate those gains and enjoy a fatter power band!

...Though I'd personally be really sad to have to give up my Grimmspeed strut tower brace for intake manifold clearance after installing BPB.

Flying the family home to Ghana after Daytona, so that comes out of the entertainment budget. Anything left over goes into the "inevitable repairs from wheel to wheel racing" budget.
First thing next year will be a bunch of whiteline parts, and custom coilovers from Wes Burton Shocks, Mann Engineering or RCE. Support is the most important factor there, so haven't decided yet... (unless I luck into an insane deal on some used ASTs or MCSs). I'm only allowed certain bushings and suspension replacement parts without taking unnecessary points in the NASA PT model, so I'll have to perform a cost/benefit analysis of each replacement part.

It's all about the $$$... and I've run out.

I really want to ride in a JRSC equipped 86 to see what it's like. I'm all for being a guinea pig but FI is a different ballgame where "you gotta pay to play" takes a whole new meaning.

Just make sure you don't follow that up with a turbo equipped 86 test ride, and you will be okay. I feel like you are the kind of guy that could make a turbo track setup work. I look forward to passing you in my turbo s2k in the near future.

Give me an unlimited budget and I'll find a way to make a twin charged track setup work!

I just really don't want to deal with the complexity and heat management of a turbo setup, especially the front mounts. It seems like it's just one headache after another if you track the car hard because of all the supplemental cooling needed, and then you get into the inevitable battle with the stock internals when rod fatigue rears its ugly head after dealing with that torque surge so many times.

280-300whp reliably with E85 and stock fueling is honestly all I'd ever want from this car. I like to think I have a reasonable amount of willpower when it comes to FI horsepower, which is a slippery slope for many owners.

I'll need 300hp at 2600lbs dry beginning 2017. Think you'll have it figured out by then? Right now, it's looking like a Chevy LM4 motor swap. I like the idea of just walking into an autozone and picking up any engine replacement part I need. But I'd sure love to run this motor with FI for a couple of years if possible.

JRSC with upgraded pulley and E85?

Thank you for the tag, @ATL BRZ.
