Glad I got rid of mine before that fiasco. Intakes will always be a mostly aesthetic mod unless the stock system is truly horrid.

After a 150 km road trip yesterday I noticed this.

I was lucky to be near a hardware store and fixed it in the parking lot.

I haven't lost my like for the product, I just want to know that the loctite recommenfation is now included in the installation instructions and not just here on the forums.

just ordered and installed. i'm pretty weak with a wrench but since i got it done you probably can too. some notes:

1. one of the screws for the final airaid cover was not the right size. mailed airaid online but email form is weird and went right back to itself after submit - not sure it went through.
2. dude in youtube install vid gets that intake box in there right quick - i had to futz with it a lot. the mouth hits the shroud for the radiator fan it seems. how he does is it so smoothly in the video i have no idea.
3. same with the actual intake tube, he fits it right in there in a few seconds. i had much more of a pistol of a time, i thought perhaps i did not have the box in the right way but it was loose/movable and did all seem to be mounted correctly... still more pain for me to get the intake tube into both the coupler dealies. did make it.

also wasn't sure about pulling out grommet from the resonator delete. did pull and put the plug in, although from the inside of the car under the carpet instead.
