has anyone used their VIN to get an insurance quote? I'd be curious to know what to expect.

My dealer guy called from Toyota of Pasadena today. He said they'll have my FRS in about 3 weeks, and will keep me updated. Wonder if there's any truth to this...

First seen in the wild today, 22APR2012, at 5:35pm. AS1 chassis car in dark blue (ultramarine?) traveling east on RTE 33, just east of exit 36 outside of Marysville, OH. Just got a quick look at it. I was shocked, and can hardly believe it myself. One possible explanation is that TRC (Transportation Research Center) is no too far, and it may have been there for testing. If anyone knows where they're keeping this car I'd love to know.

so, true all the dealers here have an "it's just another car release" attitude. none of them know anything about the car no matter which dealership I go to and even the dealer that I put a deposit down at doesn't know anything.

Well I called USAA today to get a ballpark with no VIN and it came out to $1002 for 6 months ($167 a month) in KY. which is my home state since I’m in Europe right now. That is with a $100 Comp & Collision Deductible, rentail reimbursement, accident forgiveness, uninsured and underinsured motorist, and more. This is less than my tC which was just over $1100 every 6 months. I'm looking forward to getting one even more now.

I'm with USAA as well. I'm 25 living in Oregon with 9 years of driving, no tickets and no accidents. I pay $400/6mo for a 2006 Scion tC with a 500/1000 deductible for comp/collision. I quoted a 2012 Subaru WRX from them and it's $435/6mo for the same coverage. I'm guessing your tC is almost new.
