From the 1st86 trip, 1st86er's in May, regular delivery in June. They have a launch of the commericals scheduled for June 1. These are the ones filmed at the site where the deer almost jacked up the car.

I heard June 1st for purchase from my dealer.

you think dealership will let people test drive it when i arrive in June/July? or gonna check your credit before you can even sit inside?

At this point unless you pre-ordered a car, I don't think you'll be sitting in any cars unless the dealer has a floor model. See this post for more information:

What it means is that these cars are going to be rare at the dealer this year, and likely next year as well.

Based on what? Cars are already completed production for the first shipments. Some are already on their way as well. I have a feeling that Scion is letting their shipments build before releasing, while Subaru is going to release as they arrive. Different sales strategies.

I know Subaru has cars on boats for their dealerships based on someone already getting a VIN, and with a drive out the door day of like 3-4 weeks away. Scion does as well at this point for at least the first 86 folks. Everyone else will get their June 1st dates, but don't expect the entire shipment for each dealer on June 1st. I'm expecting to not see my car until end of June or early July considering I'm 3rd in line at a dealership getting 6 cars.

Was I the only one to consider this just another troll thread?

I went to my dealer in Simi and I talked to the Scion specialist and he said that due to california emissions, the frs would be pushed back to 2013... I dont know if i should call bs on this one but i bet it will debut june 1st like sources seem to be saying. i guess it's just a test of time...

TRD people last weekend didnt seem at all worried about CA emissions, the entire country is getting the same car...also the reason we arent getting the 4 tip trd exhaust

When I preordered my BRZ the sales order sheet said "CA Spec" or something to that effect. When I asked the dealer about it he said they all were that way, so I don't think there are going to be any emissions-related delays.

This guy at the dealership must have gotten some bad intel or something... He's supposedly the "Scion Expert" at my dealership...
As far as exhaust is concerned, ima put on my own so im not too worried about the trd exhaust ;)
