I've talked with a few r32 owners which "legally" own them here in the states but from my understanding it has to be one of the now absent company that imported a few of them. Maybe it's just California but they were saying it's an ordeal. They need to be crash tested and fitted with egr equipment. All in all though if I had more money I'd like to get one. Awesome machine.

R30's are in no way cheap they range from 2.000.000 Yen to about 3.000.000 for one in excellent condition!.

I wont lie, that R30 is pretty sweet. Whats that other car, a Galant of some sort? Reminds me of a Cressida. But to each their own. I'm not a fan of boxy 80's cars. I'm more of a early to mid 90's Japanese car kinda guy.

Either way I was talking about Skylines. I am not saying they aren't good cars, I'm just saying they're over hyped. Between the amount of money you have to pay to get one over here in the states and the pain in the ass ordeal of getting it registered and insured, it's just not worth it IMO. Also I'm sure finding parts for repairs and maintenance isn't fun either.

Unless it's a German or buying new, i don't like buying cars in excellent condition.

Yes, I have heard bad stories with legalizing cars for California.

In the world of Nissan Skyline's, there are few variants quite as iconic or revered as the R32-generation GT-R Nismo 400R.

Unveiled in late 1997, just 44 units of the Nismo 400R were produced, each inspired by the potent GT-R LM race car that competed twice in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

As the name of the car implies, it has around 400 hp on tap, 395 hp to be precise, courtesy of a 2.8-liter twin-turbocharged straight six-cylinder RB-X GT2 engine that also pumps out 347 lb-ft of torque at 4,400 rpm.

That engine was actually created by Reinik, the motorsport department of Nismo and is very similar to the racing engine of the LM.

Considering how rare the car is, even having the chance to see one in person is a rarity let alone getting the opportunity to drive one. Recently however, Evo Magazine's Jethro Bovingdon was handed the keys to a stunning dark purple example and discovered that, despite being almost 20 years old, it feels quite modern.
