still looks like an amazing setup. no crazy long intercooler pipping like every other kit out there
Here's some shots of one we just finished before it went to get ceramic coated. This one is with a recirculated dumptube, i don't think we'll be offering a recirculation option for the twin scroll stuff anymore, A lot of time went into this and its just not a production friendly kit...although it definitely looks the part! (The standard twin scroll kit will be with (2) 38mm MVS gates and external dump.)

god that is a beautiful looking kit, shame the heat is such an issue. they look much better not ceramic coated. recirc valve is really nice to. this is my favorite kit by far

Man talk about placing the blame! lol....Anyways it is brand new and its not cracked. It's a mark from the casting, it's actually raised up compared to the rest of the housing.

That makes sense. It just really stuck out to me in the photo.

Looks like good fab, design needs some overhaul. Purpose of the divided manifold is negated when you connect pulses via single waste gate, should just be a conventional entry at that point. Poor waste gate entry with a 180 degree turn to relieve pressure also can be problematic. The average joe wouldn't notice a difference in a properly built manifold anyways.

With this being a custom recirculated dump this was the only way it would fit. The pairing is divided all the way up to the wastegate. We have done single gate twin scroll before on vehicles with space constraints and havent had issues.

K series race car we had to do something similar to

gets me every time i see how small those "ports" are on that garret flange.. never used one yet but can only imagine. I had the opportunity to have a 3d printed model a couple years ago and was very unsatisfied. I've only used Burns collectors and love them, even though they cost arm and leg.

That RSX gets my attention (secret honda guy)

The compressor maps for the garretts show...

You could do it with either the PTE 4828, Garrett GTX2863 or GTX2867. I'd expect 400-500rpm faster spool with a slight loss of top end compared to the open scroll counterparts.
The compressor map on paper for the garrett 2863 shows it right at about the same for 9 and 12 psi respectively...

You should be looking at 23lbs/ minute at 9 psi for the 2867 good for 333hp
and 27.5 lbs/minute at 12 psi good for 400 (if you can keep the charge temps low enough).

12 psi on the 2867 is right at the core of efficiency for that turbo too.

The 2867 even allowing for a .075 should be good for over 350hp.

oh wait, that may be at the crank.. I forget... oh well...

Oh ok, now we're getting more realistic. Yeah my calcs show the 2867 making 330-340 whp at 12 psi and 276-283 whp at 9 psi.

Yeah, in an unfocused part of the image, I had no idea that what appeared to be a black crack was just casting flash. You sell that shifter yet.

My 2863 did 425whp at 15psi and the IATs were 10-12 degrees above ambient. Both the 2863 and the 2867 are practically perfect for this engine with the 2863 taking the leading edge over the 67 for <450whp range imo for the slightly faster spool (instant).

Do you have built motor???

If you're on the stock motor, you must have what 1000cc injectors or 700cc injectors with meth injection?

yeah pushing 15psi on these motors without that is "in the danger zone" (flashback to 80's movie soundtrack)...

jaden

On paper the 2863 should only be making 403 hp at 15psi, but it makes sense if you have the higher compression and of course your IAT's are pretty low too...

I went back and looked at your garage link.. man did you do your setup right... you have the 1000cc injectors and meth and you had your turbine ceramic coated...no wonder your IAT's are that good...

Those numbers were on E85 as I am FlexFuel as well. Truthfully I don't even remotely need 1000cc injectors. I only use about 28% of them. Ports on mine are really only used once the DIs are completely maxed out. DI is far more ideal than PI so they are now mostly used as a supplement. Yes, stock compression. I personally love building high compression forced induction engines which goes against the grain for most but I am not most I suppose.
