I win! Quad turbo 4cylinder!!!
![]() Can we move on now...? I personally believe the mr2 carries the most unbeatable smiles-per-dollars ratio. The fun factor simply can't be matched for the price. The problem now is finding one that is unmolested and cared for. |

Getting back to the OP, I think if you put a nice 20 valve in the aw11, it would surely give the frs a run for its money. If you do an mk1.5 car (an aw11 w/ 3sgte), it will blow away the frs. But stock for stock, well... the aw11 is slow as balls.

My MR2 is the car I miss the most. I loved it more than I did my S2000, NA and NC Miatas. Sigh. I would love to own one again but like most said, it's nearly impossible to find one that's not a complete trash. Rust is AW11's worst enemy...even in Texas. |

With a pulley and haltech on pump, mine is faster than my 86 with headers on E85 tune.

Idk, I had an SC with a pulley and I think my stage 1 BRZ might be faster. It'd be close, though. The mr2 might have a better mid range, but don't think it can match the brz's top end. Would love to see a stock 86 vs stock mr2 SC duke it out on a track!
