CAI alternative question
I have owned my 2015 BRZ Series Blue for about 5 days now. I have made the decision to do minor bolt ons here and there just to add a personal touch. I've been doing research on CAI and to me it appears you have to be cautious with these do to causing issues with the MAF unless you get a tune. I also read that the stock air box is pretty efficient. With these things in mind I decided to do the CAI alternative of just replacing the intake hoses and filter.
I've been looking at the AVO silicone inlet set, the Perrin silicone inlet hose, and the Cusco air suction pipe kit. Can anyone tell me which one is going to be the best? I notice the AVO is a complete swap of the "accordion" hose and intake inlet hose, the Perrin completely removes the "accordion section, and the Cusco is a direct replacement of the intake inlet hose. I know I won't be getting much gains with this type of mod but wanted to know the best value for the money and which would be more efficient. Thanks for the help/advise. |

I already did my research a long time ago and came to the conclusion that I will get the K&N filter with the Perrin inlet hose for next summer. I'm not sure the exact "hp" it will add to the car but if you are going to follow my route then I just saved you a lot of time.

Check out supertek too.
http://supertekindustries.com/index....-fr-s-brz.html I think some people have claimed it was a heatsoak issue, but I've been happy with it. |

Here is the best bang for your buck period! Have it on my ride with no issues after swapping out an Injen clone. Go with a good high flow air filter and call it a day...

Drop in air filter. Stock box is perfectly fine if you are just going minor bolt ons.
Get a drop in filter, a catback exhaust, and a tune and you will be a much much happier person ![]() The perrin inlet hose is a nice piece too but thats more $$$ |
