Will the rod ends be black too? Because the red looks pretty nice.

We cannot anodize the rod ends as that would require dis-assembly... so they will remain red. It will be mostly black, with stainless hardware, and red rod ends, it should look very nice.

If everything gets anodized black then I'll probably be one of the first customers. I've been a bit hesitant to add these because the splitter by itself is already a bit much for a "street car" and adding ties only adds to it. Keeping it discrete where possible is a huge plus in my book.

What is the plan for those that ordered the first version and have no marks for where to drill for these and the additions to the bottom? Also, how far down does the turbulence generators extend down from the bottom of the splitter. I'm already low enough and I'm semi worried that going any lower might mean more scraping.

We aren't big into standing out either. These splitter ties will be as discrete as we can be, while being economical enough that people will hopefully be able to purchase them. The rod ends just cannot be anodized economically.

We are going to print out a sheet of that will be full scale of the splitter. This should allow you to get within a 1/16 of an inch of where they need to be. They hang down another 1/2", if you are scraping them, you will be scraping other chassis/suspension/engine components.

I second this. I'm waiting for these rods before I install the splitter.

I'm doing everything I can to get parts as quick as I can. I am currently just waiting on sheet metal components (I was told I can pick them up tomorrow). Then it should be another week or so to anodize everything.

Been spending the last few nights counting and bagging...

They're coming I promise .

One step closer. Sorry this is dragging out so long. Nature of the game with a new part. All the aluminum bits will be hard anodized black.

Please remember you *can* drive on the street with this splitter. It can handle highway speeds without an issue. It is above these speeds that you need to worry about failure. Both failures have occurred well into the triple digit territory.

Will these rods fit in the frs grill.
It look like the BRZ grill have larger openings.

Trigger finger is itchy for this one. This will be available on FT86SF as a full package, correct? I'd want to buy the race splitter and rods together so I don't have to do any supplementary drilling to mount the rods. Looks fantastic, great job guys.

I'm not sure what you are asking here but I'll try to answer. The APR splitter comes with no instructions, leaving the end user to guess at install. It also has no data to back-up how it performs with the car or if it even makes much difference at all. It's a nice looking piece but leaves some things un-addressed, which we feel is an injustice to you guys.

I have not been able to check yet. I will see if we can find a donor who is willing for me to see if it can fit through the honeycomb.

Their will be drilling no matter what. You have to drill 8 holes in your crash beam to install the supports. Their will be detailed instructions to help the end user perform this task.

@eric6

Eric, any update on the support rods that you can share? I enjoy seeing the pictures of this product coming together.
