okay so here's a pull with the 91 octane tune and still the same tank of 93 as all my previous logs
http://www.datazap.me/u/silver-ignit...g=0&data=1-2-5 I think it looks pretty good, what do you guys think?

but maybe between 6000 and 7000 you could remove a degree of advance, since your flkc is a between -1 and around -2 ? |

seems strange to have to remove so much on 93 USA, maybe you got a bad batch, happend to a mate of mine a couple of weeks ago, tune was fine then filled up at normal supplier outlet (98RON OZ fuel)) and soon after knocks like crazy IAM about 0.6 where its usually solid at 1. Suspect station had filled tank with lower octane fuel (he checked his receipt and was correct octane), after he filled up again a couple of days later at different outlet all ok same fuel. http://www.datazap.me/u/silver-ignit...7-12&solo=6-12 |

unless you want to wait and try different fuel or octane booster ? its strange 93 octane should be better than that |

I've had the same spot, running 94 octane in canada, now i don't have my BPB installed yet so i don't if that's anything but our gas has a bad reputation.
I might just switch to the 91 rom just cause our gas sucks and i cant get 94 everywhere i might end up. Running A01C 93octage Stage 2 UEL This log has 4 3rd gear pulls each had the same area of knock, http://www.datazap.me/u/hagbard/aug3...om=15553-16183 http://www.datazap.me/u/hagbard/aug3...om=14039-14594 http://www.datazap.me/u/hagbard/aug3...om=12709-12874 http://www.datazap.me/u/hagbard/aug3...om=11037-11289 Pulled some timing and got this now. http://www.datazap.me/u/hagbard/aug-...zoom=5427-5808 http://www.datazap.me/u/hagbard/aug-...zoom=6997-7287 just the od -.65 in the lower rpm |

there is a lot, but it seems like small correction, as @steve99 said, under -.07 you should not really worry about it. The correction is bigger than the knock itself as i understand, (to be sure to "stop" the knocking situation, that it wont knock multiple times) i'm doing a long term datalog to see the evolution of those knock, and also to spot tendency of know (where and how strong) and it's seems that, with time, your short term and long term fuel trim seems to developp, and produce less knock. i'll post my results in a few days. maybe it will help to build some kind of guideline, of what is normal, and what is not! |

how much timing did you remove? for the gas, if it's 94 petro can, it really have a bad reputation. it contain ethanol, and it seems to produce more knock. but, there are some debate on this... |

I rearly would try a different brand of fuel then if no luck, pull a bit more at the effected load/rpm points where the knock is try just over half of what the ecu is removing. The fuel trim and knock learning is pretty quick usually minutes unless you have big fuel trims which you dont. |

I'll put a few more miles on it and try another log. Wish the almighty @Shiv@Openflash would chime in and tell me if I'm on the right track...

today, same drive, 4 knock issue.... so it seems that it could get better with time... but still, not a lot of data to back this up! with @steve99 comment, i'm starting to think I should try this long run log with different gas brand each week, just to see! |
