Side view mirror cover removal
Diode Dynamics has a great video of the replacement of the cover with lights. If you go to about 4 min. into the video they show how to pop off the mirror and you can see which tabs need to be pushed to pop off the cover. It appears that it can be done without removing the entire side view mirror. Give it a try and good luck.

Getting closer to that 60k spark plug change.
Would be interested to see a DIY for changing the spark plugs without lifting the engine.

I don't have any insight other than 10 years with a WRX. If it's the same situation (and it appears to be), there's no trick. Just a lot of fiddling and swearing.

DIY bug mesh.
I was wondering if some one has found a means of protecting the radiator from bugs. I take the car our in the country and always end up with a bunch of dead bugs stuck in the radiator. Thus far I have thought about taking the screen door mesh and either cutting pieces to fit the gaps in the front or getting one big piece and attaching it at multiple points. I was thinking of either fishing line or black zip ties (leaning toward fishing line)
