Never have, but have always wanted one after seeing mad max, that's one of the reasons I wanted to go ESC, power when you need it, good mpg, and quiet when you don't.

That's not great to hear; sounds like I may be going back to stock gearing after all! I should be getting my Phantom in a week or two (I bought Mr. @nlowell's kit) and I'm on 4.88's with the 6AT. I'll let you guys know my results and if I decide to go back to 4.1 or not.

I wouldn't worry about it unless you're aggressively dragging the car all the time - it's not like it's a 400 ft/lb monster, it's just spinning because a very aggressive launch will get it spinning through first. Once you break the tires loose, you've lost a lot of traction, so going to second will keep the tires spinning (as opposed to launching easier in 1st and then shifting hard to 2nd).

I agree, with an auto it should be fine. As for my problem i think i just need time to relearn the car. It'll a totally different beast with a short fd.
