I don't have the figures but im willing to bet that car has something north of 50,000$ worth of batteries in it that would not survive the storage. complete waste. that and we are going to lose the novelty and value increase as the cars become more technology infused.

I also don't see being able to pull a used up 918 out of a barn in 50 years with your son and rebuild its flux capacitor in your driveway like you could with an old mustang/camero/AE86 etc.
Old cars are cool because of the mechanical engineering that was fought so hard to make work. But I feel cars are becoming disposable. Think about people that collect old cameras and watches for novelty. Now think about how many people are going to be interested in collecting old iphones and digital cameras in 10+ years? I just don't see it happening. People are going to want the latest and greatest. Not older cars anymore like it used to be.
My take on it.

Just think what almost a million dollars, properly invested (NOT into a supercar) could yield over time.

Just think what 5% of that "invested" into an 86 right now would yield.

Maybe the turbo brz wasn't enough to pick up his type of ladies, so he had to step up his game?

Glad to see another CJ thread. Today will be a good day.

This might be more useful than a supercar.
