The bracket that it comes with mounts it so that it doesn't touch the fender liner or fog light, but just barely. I've ordered some fog light delete housings to get rid of the fogs and maybe hollow the passenger side out to allow direct air flow. I also found this: ![]() Unfortunately, the 19 row is dual inlet. If there's enough room with the fog light gone, I may get it

This is exactly what I did and then I took a dremel and removed the plastic behind it to open up the air flow. worked great and very stock looking you would never know it was modified to allow air flow. I actually did both sides to keep it consistent. If I remember to I'll try to take photos and post them |

I never made it up the hill unfortunately so I am not sure. I haven't had time to run it crazy and I put FBM oil pan on but I didn't tighten the bracket enough so I have a small leak so I am watching how I drive it until I can fix it.

I'm also thinking of adding a fan to one side of the oil cooler and wire it to my fog lights so that I can turn it on with the switch inside when in traffic. I need to find the amperage rating of the fog light vs what a small fan would be, but I don't think I would have to use a different relay.

Has anyone tried just removing the weather strip under the back of the hood? This gives a 1/2 inch gap to maybe let heat escape.

I don't know if that would do anything unless there's a low pressure area behind it to pull the hot air out.

I've posted this multiple times in multiple threads. Yes it works. There is also two small flaps on the sides you can remove. For more venting remove the piece by the battery but your interior will smell like an engine bay.

The only time I see abnormally high oil temps is in city traffic on a really hot day. I'll take 300-400cfm over 0cfm any day. The FBM oil cooler is 19 row so I'm thinking put a fan on one side then leave the other to have direct flow from the fog light opening at speed.

This is precisely why the AC air intake is located there, and why muscle cars have hood cowls for induction. |

Hi
2 mocal oil coolers of 16 rows each and mount in the front, highest temp ever recorded was 215f and it drop really fast if you stop (trafic) normal DD temp 190-200f. Need to mention that use 7.5qts of oil. Coolant 195-205f with the koyo rad and heavy use; yes FI. AFR 14.5 at idle and 12.0-12.5 at WOT. Ambient temp 75-95f. |
