With due respect that video was hardly conclusive.
I do not have a problem with bags and for many people I can see the attraction but I do have an issue with that video.
1/ Spring rates are not mentioned. Bags are rising rate so how can one say the rates of springs was equal?
2/ Here are links to 2 different sets of coilovers :
http://www.ebay.com/itm/For-Subaru-I...98736e&vxp=mtr
http://www.speedforsale.com/nissangt....html?cPath=50
One set costs less than $700 the other is $14,000 yet both are coilovers and I would suggest would give very different results.
Funny how the video doesn't mention any details about the dampers/springs fitted.
3/ That video is a marketing blurb so the the coilovers have to lose.

The coilovers they used in that video were KW V2s or V3s, either way about half the RRP of an Airlift kit. I agree that video is just marketing BS, i would love to see an actual independent comparison comparing similar price point coils vs air.

They were going to come out with the toggle to the existing V2 manifold to allow it to be operated by Apple or Android. For three years we were told it would be released , however , they decided to scrap that idea in favor of a all inclusive next gen V3 model that has the circuitry built in . It will be premiered at SEMA and released Jan 2015.....and no that decision does not make sense to me either as I know many will comment upon this.

yes, the front suffers from clearance...

i just adjusted mine last night with 75mm of bottom threads showing [looks like you got yours hella low @ ~120mm]...

i got the klutch sl18 wheels in 18x8.5 +35 w/ 3mm spacers wrapped in 225/45/18 bridgestone s-04 up front... it is ~6mm away from the bags and the tires hit the fenders when i zero out... i am taking it to get it aligned and all that next week, so i will see if i can go a little lower.

Did you do any adjusting of the strut length? It's rather odd that the wheel/tire is that close to the bag. If you've adjusted the struts to add "more drop", you will run into this issue.

i adj my fronts 45mm from "factory setting," but it made almost no difference in regards to clearance between the wheel/tire and the bags... maybe 3mm closer now[?] but i can def go a little lower with the right camber settings.

I mean... What the point of an air suspension if you can't lay down you're car :P! Yea I will have to adjust the strut mount ! But if I do that even air out ! I will look like a slammed static car -_-

I have been seriously considering air suspension for a while because my FR-S is a daily driver even in the winter and in the east coast of Canada, we get a ton of snow all the time.
Plus I am a photographer and sometimes, certain locations that I shoot in will require a slight bit of driving on unpaved surfaces so a bit of ground clearance on demand would be pretty awesome.
I know that a few other companies have like 3 presets for their air kits. usually one for speed bump clearance, ride, and park. If I set my ride to maybe about .75 inch drop, it is actually a smart idea to have winter driving height maxed out for extra ground clearance?
The reason why I ask is because the area I live in is on a large hill and whenever snow is packed under the car from snow drifts, it slides along the hill when backing out (and almost hitting cars parked next to mine). I was thinking raised all the way for driving and lowered all the way for parking to reduce how much snow drifts under the car. Is this a realistic expectation of this kit? I will be honest, I doubt I will track this car much since that is what my project ae86 is for.

There needs to be a wheel fitment guideline for this kit as the struts in the front are 1/2" wider in diameter.

I'm interested on what Da Wise Sage said. We got tons of snow and would like to be able to lift the car during the times of hard winter. I dont plan on tracking the car, just spirited driving and a dd all year long. Also, when its parked, does it have to be super slammed? Or you can set it up that its not that low?

We live in the same city! haha. the winter of 14/15 was seriously messed up right? that was by far the most nightmare winter I ever drove in with my FRS
