So in the past, when money was tight, I went ahead and used house wrap and ice & water shield that was surplus from a site I was working on. It was certainly ghetto but it helped.

I have the Manzo catback and at first it was way to loud. Its not any quitier at the moment but I have grown to like it too much to get ride of it. My ears will hurt after an hour or so in the car so I will be doing some sound dampening.

Thanks for the post!

For those of you interested, here's a link to a bunch of pics I took during my sound deadening project a couple months ago, you may see why it took me 4+ days. (or maybe I'm just slow!) Titles and some descriptions added.

What thickness Ensolite are you using? I have some 1/8th stuff but I was worried that wasn't thick enough to do much. I still have quite a bit of stick on foam and CLD left and REALLY want that damn tire noise gone.

I think you get the idea,

The trunk looks really good. I like that its not tin toil. It looks natural. I will definitely look into this product.

I stripped out my car yesterday and started sound deadening today. I am using a product from the construction and home building world. It is a thinner version of house wrap or ice and water shield.

Its the poor kid way to go about this but I have done it in the past and it has worked I will have some pictures up once my phone starts up.

This car is surprising easy to strip, and all the components are extremely light weight.

Yea Sub/Toyo did a really good job with the simplicity of this car. It really is a blank canvas. Can't wait for the pics!

Moving along slowly but I'll try and get them up tonight. It is coming out pretty good. Not perfect but it is going to be covered and never seen again. Going out to finish it up now hopefully. It is a very awkward space to work in and It kills my knees haha

Poor mans sound deadening. Not the best job I have done but it will serve its purpose. I am using this product:

http://www.homedepot.com/p/Protecto-...7206/100396171

It is only 1/16th thick so I will be going back through to touch up the small openings and then I will add a second layer in a handful of areas. Still need to do in the wheel wells and the front of the cabin but that will be for next weekend.

Some people who are sensitive to the Evo3 aren't necessarily being bothered by the volume, but rather the resonance. I'm not confident that sound deadening material will solve that problem. I'm curious to see how it works out though. OP please keep us updated.
