So my voltmeter display started flickering, flashing back and forth 28.x and 0.00. When I go WOT and activate the ESC, the voltmeter stops flickering and displays the volts as it is discharging perfectly normal. After a couple of pulls, the display stopped working altogether, even when engaged.
I turned off my engine and activated the ESC to see if I can hear it spool up, and it seems to still engaged. Just the voltmeter not displayed. I didn't do anything to my car recently. Still on the 93 1.5 dump pack tune since 2 weeks ago. What seems to be the problem here?

One possible answer is another case of melted or snagged cabling. Have you checked to make sure that all of your black cabling that runs through the firewall is intact and undamaged? The reason I ask is that the flickering between 0.0 and your actual voltage sounds like a shaky connection to the controller could be a culprit. Something to check out if you want to take a look yourself. Other than that, PM Rob. He'll take care of you -- he has been great so far!

I wouldn't be worried about it -- the vast majority of issues (including the couple I had) are due to not being careful enough with installation (battery pack connections not tightened enough leading to awkward dumps and fried controller FETs, wire routing too close to exhaust components or snagging on corner of batteries, etc). Rob is very very good at taking care of any additional issues -- and I feel like he'd probably be very good to work with even with you buying the kit used (though I suppose you may want to check with him first if you haven't yet). Be ultra careful and have great attention to detail when you install and I suspect you'll have zero problems.

The Phantom ESC is in early LOW VOLUME production. For those of us that have worked in the electronics manufacturing industry (aircraft electronic components for me) we know that it is very difficult to obtain consistency and high quality when each unit is essentially hand built. The more humans touch a product, the more likely there will be problems. The only way to weed-out defects is to conduct timely and costly dynamic heat cycle testing (-40/70C). These chambers cost $50k for a small chamber, plus the custom equipment to run the test. At this writing there have been only 50 units delivered. That's not a lot of build experience. As time goes on, build quality will become more consistent and installation knowledge will improve. I can tell you from experience that while the sound-tube hole in the firewall is convenient, its not the best location for running wires. You must ensure that the harness does not sag at all at the engine side of the outlet. Best practice is to use silicone to fill the hole (to ensure fumes do not enter the cabin and that the harness is secure) and use zip-ties to make sure that the harness is away from the exhaust manifold. I have had a failure of the switch harness due to heat damage to the harness. I have also been through a few controllers. Rob's customer service has been OUTSTANDING. I don't hesitate to recommend the product and the company. But do keep in mind that this is a low volume product. Until production reaches "critical mass" there will be failures. That is the nature of low volume production and that is the nature of modifying cars for horsepower. Rob is committed to supporting his product and your only inconvenience should be living without boost until your parts make their way through customs.

Holy cows, talk about customer service and support!
I didn't even contact @Robftss yet; posted on here last night seeing if there's a simple fix. Just a few minutes ago, I received an email from Rob saying he'll be sending me an updated activation harness, regardless of the cause. I'm going to check my car right now to see if there are any obvious melts/snags, but I doubt it, since the ESC seems to still engage and activate, and then reply to Rob's email. I must say, I am very impressed by the way Rob stands behind his product!
