I guess I must have misread because You directly posted your tuning "facts" when clearly as you just posted don't have any tuning knowledge. Then you attacked my knowledge by posting that "they know learned overboost protection" blah blah blah .. So which one is it? Are they facts about overboost? I've personally lost a motor before due to a melted wastegate line, it was 100% my fault and a last minute hack job to get on the dyno at 2am to make an event while waiting on AN lines to show up the next day. However i've never seen these fittings or plugs back out or completely fall out. I've also never used locktight nor seen anything in Tial's instructions (I just opened a few MVS and MVR gates here at the shop to check) to do so on anything other than the water fittings, which makes sense for water based on the thread used. I've usually found because of the difference in materials in the gate vs. the fitting the fittings are usually tighter and harder to get out over time due to expansion/heat cycles, etc.

I am not heavy into the turbo discussions, but I am surprised I haven't heard anything about overboost protection at all. In my 240 there was a simple $50 box with an adjustible pressure sensor that cut spark if you went above your set limit. Seems like a cheap form of insurance if going FI.

It was a Hobbs pressure switch, and a 12V relay run between the ecu and the coil wire.

as there are different views here about fuel cut causing knock in high compression engines, I am just posting this as an alternative. If you are spending 5-7k on a turbo kit, $50 doesn't sound like a very expensive insurance policy.

*edit: I can't say for sure what our ecu would do if the signal to the coil was interrupted
