No dyno numbers but it was between 12-15lbs of boost. Just make sure you have a good tune, boost control and other gauges to monitor the beast. It is worth it to pay for a good tune.

I think the big thing is to respect the turbo. For a DD I would reccomend a supercharger of you want to boost power.

Supercharged doesn't make anything safer unless you are referring to Max boost level.
My turbo was daily driven and I was not really in boost during my drive to work with the exception of the on ramp if I didn't have slow people in front of me that like to get on the interstate at 45-55.
Turbos build to boost and many of the popular supercharger setups do as well. I failed due to a known and apparently unsolved issue that a tsb is out for. It can and has happened to others the difference seems to be I'm the second boosted one to experience it that I found.

I chose to go v8 because putting in another motor that there is no fix for just seems to be asking for a problem.

Uhm remote mount turbo kits are available for this car... and in no way could a v8 possibly have a better cg than a boxer, it is literally impossible. That being said I am not dissing on the build and if that is what you want to do with your car and money then by all means... All I'm saying is that this is not something I would consider doing to my car.

I have the remote mount turbo kit, it doesn't change the fact there is added weight. I just choose a setup that moved it to a location I liked more and most do not.
The weight upfront already disrupts that CG so the argument again becomes invalid. You may be able to sit a Boxter lower but this motor is not further back than you can get an LS so again the characteristics require looking into more than just one point.

I actually just got an offer on the LS which is making me consider just putting another FA20 in as I am at the point I still could. But most likely I will not.

The remote mount turbo is mounted lower, I was refuting the argument of cg... So no it is not invalidated...

You could mount it right before the ground this will not change the location and effects on balance. So again nothing changes that weight is not only added but so is coolant and pressure piping all adding weight and not equally. It also doesn't change where it's added and how that effects more than just the CG but also the balance, here is a simple way to think of this, was a sea-saw all that much fun with a kid 2-3 times your weight when you were in grade school?

Things may seem nice in theory but this idea that the lower it's mounted makes more difference than the weight that's added and where it is added is nothing more than foolish. A more forward mounted lower Boxter vs a more rear mounted 60lbs more LS has a lot more to consider than look one's lower! Look one's also slower, has less power and is harder to get parts for, was any of that valid in the argument?

You were refuting an imagined argument. Read better.
