Relevant question: If you choose an older car would you receive the car in pristine condition? This factor will greatly affect my answer.

It IS an Alfa, but I don't think it would break the same day he bought it.

Although the thread is about used cars. So, scratch my previous statement.

The new one doesn't need a whole lot of modding. The old engine design is sure to change. That's why my winter beater is a 2015 WRX...apparently Cobb is releasing the OFT Stg 1 for the AP tomorrow and I'm betting it will be 298 HP.

Seriously, if you have the money wait for the new Supra!!!

Wow.

What an awesome dilemma to have. :-)

All my tops were already mentioned:
Lotus Elise.
Lotus Exige.
Lotus Evora.
Porsche Cayman.
BMW Z4 coupe.
Porsche 944?
TVR Segaris?
Alfa 4C?

And my own personal $30k wish list:
ANY 1960's Alfa coupe. (Sprint, Giulia, GTV, GT, etc)
Lancia Fulvia.
Toyota Sports 800.
And pretty much ANY street-legal Italian replica racer. :-)

No money cap, no compromise, no need for daily driving: Ariel Atom

Big money: NSX

Neither cheap nor ridiculously expensive: FD RX7, built SR20VET powered S14/S15, turbo S2000, etc.

Engine swapped hot rod monster for pure shits and giggles? 2JZ swapped S14/S15....... or 2JZ swapped FD RX7. haha.

I live in an area where cayman, newish vette etc stick out like a sore thumb, that and because of my needs a reasonable level of day to day practicality is the difference between the car sitting at home or being driven.

Going tits gone crazy on the frz made sense. Its been pretty great so far.

After more and more thinking...I am leaning towards an RX7 or an NSX because those were the cars I lusted over when I was teen and I could never afford one.

All the cars listed here are great cars. I guess I am more/less getting nostalgic about this.

My wife is less fickle than I lol. I am the main reason I kept swapping. I just like too many cars. If I was filthy rich, I would challenge Jay Leno to a car contest lol. Instead, I am upper-middle so if I am smart with my money, I can afford some nice things.

Just have to be patient and get the "right one".

One other wild card is maybe if I found and extremely clean RX8 R3...though I still have to say I prefer the FD RX7 and the NSX though.
