I'm very happy with my old wheels - I just need another set for track tyres.

The second pic is what they look like on the car, but all 4 are like the rears in that pic.

I'm going back to the 18's this weekend

My sister wants to use the 86 as her wedding car... + i have to raise the suspension or it wont survive the durban driveways...

On the plus side, i got to waste ALOT of tyre this week in anticipation of the change
got to a point where the front of the car stood at the same place and the back just kept rotating round

Enjoy Dbn! If it wont survive the driveways, take it sideways...lol

Will the Drift event for TTCC still be happening this month?

Anyone been to the VW "Drag wars" event last weekend?
(Was planning to go, then saw some guys from the VW clubs talk bullshit on the TTCC forum...so decided not to support idiots)
(No offence to the VW/GTi club guys, but their attitude is )

Any other events this month that you guys are going for?

I wont be doing the VPS and the only reason is that on a white car it goes yellow and is quite visible after a while .

Says who? I've had it on my car for 2 years(next month) and it still looks like the day it was fitted. No discoloration. It's the cheap knock off stuff that goes yellow, especially if you don't wax it often enough.

Well the guy at edenvale actually told me that and then I asked my service mechanic about VPS and he mentioned the same thing to me. I didn't even ask him if it gets discolored he but he still brought it up. But you say it is still fine so . Maybe it only turns yellow after 10 years .

Could you PM me a pic of your car or post one here please.

LOL! Dunno, Marc at Edenvale warned me that the colour would be slightly off after applying the film but nothing about discoloration with age.

I'll find a pic and post a bit later.

It seems the drift event will not be happening. It's a long story around why.

We are still keen to run one though. Maybe later in the year or early next year.

Can't see the difference .

I think ill make a decision if I ever see your car at one of the events. I really want to do something like this because going to the skid pad coats the car in borehole water which is heavy in minerals and can damage your paint.

After Sunday at the skid pan my car looked brown. Even with a coat of wax on my car the stuff didn't come off with just a rinse as I was hoping.

My rear tires after two months already need rotating (about half the tread compared to the front). Please no more drift events .

Is it advisable to VPS the whole car?
