the solid axle doesnt stop the mustang from going head to head against the m3. and the v6 is faster around a track than the equally powered sti so if the independent suspension isnt giving those cars any competitive advantage i dont know why it would be different for the nissan.

you say the ka motor gives that car its performance per dollar value but then bring up suspension so im confused. but ill bite. the miata has double wishbone suspension so if handling is your thing, its still not the best performance per dollar.

I think you're not seeing the point. Dollar for dollar you can get more performance from the KA vs. swapping in an SR. Again were talking about the S-chassis not miatas ans mustangs. It all started with "why a silva instead of an frs" to which I mentioned torque. You took that as an offense because of the KA "truck engine". All I'm saying is that Nissans generally have more torque than Toyotas and that KA can be more potent than SR's. I can name many engines that are better and cars that can handle better or are faster but, again, that's not the point of this thread.

Your move, Nissan.

Nissan was asked about a possible competitor for the FRS/BRZ and answered, "If there's a market, we will make it."

Do you think it may be an opportunity for the 240SX to make a come-back? Everyone loved it and i think it would really be received well.

The first gen Nissan 240sx hatchback/fastback is the car that ruined my ability to like anything else. Light... fun to drive... cornered well... actually had cargo capacity...

My guess though, is that if they tried to bring back any of the versions they would probably completely miss what made people love them. Or maybe I'm just cynical...

Nissan lost me as a potential customer years ago when I was driving my MK1 MR2 and Nissan decided not to produce their MID4 concept. I wanted this car SO bad to fill the second spot in my garage.

Damn that looks awesome. Should have been nissan's answer to the NSX, but we all know they had their GTR craze back then lol
