Any other ideas and thoughts on how to fix this?????

Take off the sandwich plate and make sure it's clean on the bottom. The rubber seal should be making clean contact with the base.

I gave it a good cleaning when I changed the oil, but I'll give it another try!

Would the oil type make a difference? Doubt it... but trying to think of other reason if this attempt doesn't work.

Maybe it's the sandwich plate?

Possible, but unlikely.

Did you lubricate the seal before you screwed everything together?

Take a really careful look at the seal. When synthetic oil eats a seal it either dissolves it, leaving the rubber to smear away, or the rubber stretches and expands so it doesn't fit properly. I highly doubt JR spec'd a seal that wasn't safe for all oils, but that doesn't mean they weren't shipped one by accident.

Another possibility is that the seal is just old, it might have sat on a shelf too long. If possible, turn it inside out to see if there's any cracking in the rubber.

Will do! Thanks for the advice!

I have better luck going to O'Reily's or NAPA to get generic fuel line / oil line hose by the foot. Autozone won't sell you anything unless it is a oem type of item replacement.

Took the JR oil cooler apart today and got everything cleaned and refitted. I'm hoping that solves everything!

It was probably a noob install because the center (long) bolt you use to attach the extension and lines too... wasn't that tight... My fault for sure...
