Others can speak more fluently/accurately to this, but it's basically that the motor is lugging at low rpm and if you go WOT at low rpm, it puts a lot of strain on the motor.

Such a thing is VERY noticeable if you would go WOT at, say 700 or 1000 rpm. Not as noticeable at 2000 or 2500, but it's still there.

If you went WOT at very low rpm on a carburated small bore dirt bike (for example), you might even stall the motor because you created a very rich condition. I assume that the computer and injectors on a fuel injected vehicle attempt to compensate for the condition - which I assume is what fenton meant when he said that:

"Your car is freaking out and setting the engine load to 5(max) and also setting ignition timing to 0."

IIRC the only notification that the OFT gives is which slot was loaded (marked with an asterisk) not which map was loaded. So if you had a map loaded in slot 3 and flashed that, then moved the maps around when loading new maps on the device, it would still show that you had slot 3 flashed, even if you had moved a new map into that slot.

This information is a few months old however, so not sure if they have changed things since then.

I just hooked it up and turned on the ignition. Clicked on "Information" which is the bottom right selection after the OFT loads. The next screen specifically says which file is loaded into the ECU.

Wish we could buddy. Unfortunately at the moment demand has completely overcome the supply of the ESC units. Rob is working as fast as he can to get these out as soon as possible. I believe the next batch is supposed to hopefully be done next month sometime. If you're interested the best thing to do would to pm rob and ask for your name to be added to the list. That being said, I'm not sure if he's willing to ship to Dubai yet, but I'm pretty sure a few kits went to Australia so he might

@Shiv@Openflash

Is there any power difference in this new e85 tune vs my old one? Are you willing to share the dynos?

Thanks bud!

I'm on the dyno right now finishing up the E85 OTS tune. The mapping is quit a bit different from your old tune. Much more refined much like comparing v2.0 OTS map to older v1.4 maps. Better fueling, more top end power/less roll off. started off with a tune nearly identical to your old tune and put down a decent 215whp. With the revisions, I'm at ~225whp now and still tuning. Holds peak power from 6500rpm to 7500rpm which is quite nice. No top end roll-off.

Nice! I remember you were getting frustrated by that roll off when you were tuning my car last year. Sounds exciting. I can't wait to play with it!
