Trans and diff fluid changed yesterday with Motul 300 @ 29k miles. The fluid that came out of both looked good, it was a nice gold color. The drain plug for the diff was loaded with metal as I expected. Trans drain plug wasn't that bad.

Took it into the dealership for some work yesterday.
Head Unit suddenly died last month - replaced under warranty (but noticed when I got home that it has "remanufactured" stickers on the back). Driver's side headlight had some kind of water stain on the inside, noticeable under certain lighting conditions at certain angles - replaced under warranty. Installed a Mini 0803 dashcam, running the wires under the headliner and passenger A pillar, behind the dash, and into the glove compartment power socket. Nice and clean. Plan to wash and polish today. |

Yesterday I took my new BRZ with 8 miles on it and stuffed it with my six dogs and two ducks. 300 miles later and it is full of fur and feathers. I love this car and now it smells like it.

Curious as to why...and how you had the need to put six dogs and two ducks in your brand new car?

Got new rubber yesterday in the form of Continental ExtremeContact DW 245/40. Put them on without spacers and the tire rubbed the spring perch (due to -1 degree camber). Added a 3mm spacer and it was super close, so I swapped up to 5mm and feel much better about it.
Maybe the tires are a bit over-inflated, but the steering has a really "light" feeling. Could also be the super deep tread being a little more squishy than the MPSS I removed. I also installed Whiteline KDT925 - Diff cradle and outrigger inserts. Easy install and did you know they're black now?? Blew my mind, I liked the little hints of yellow but the diff cradle inserts always looked a bit awful, so black is a good move.

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19218 For the differential, if you're using Motul that has the built-in spout it's a little hard to get the final drops out of the bottle. I added this remaining fluid to a fresh bottle then continued my fill. My diff held a little under 1.3L. With the transmission, once you squeeze out what you can from a bottle into the transmission, you can then wedge/prop the bottle above the fill hole draining downwards and let the remaining fluid run out by itself. It goes a little slow because there's no air vent but it shouldnt take more than 3-4 minutes. Motul bottle wedged upside down (above transmission) to fill what I couldn't squeeze out:

The color looks great. It's a little on the blue side, but that's probably because it's next to the 4500k headlights. But definitely > stock.
