For those wondering you can download google maps locally to your device however it only lets you select a specific area size and up to 6 samples. It's a little finnicky but it does work.
https://support.google.com/gmm/answer/2650377?hl=en Also WAZE I belive supports downloading maps locally as well as other 3rd party GPS apps like Sygic, TomTom who support full map downloads. |

I've always just assumed this is because the Ca-Fi doesn't have the best specs, or that I had a slow Class 4 microSD card, but I bought a better SD card and it's still happening, so I thought I'd ask you guys...
I listen to these hour-long EDM mixes pretty often. When I turn my car on, open PowerAmp, and press play, it usually takes about 10 seconds for the song to start. The files are probably a little over 100 MB each if I'm remembering correctly, and I'm using a class 10 microSD card that boasts read speeds of up to 90 MB/sec (so I'm sure it averages closer to 40 or 50), so these files should load pretty fast. PowerAmp is loaded into the internal Ca-Fi storage, not the SD card. Any ideas on why this is so slow? My unit is not rooted and is completely stock, haven't even updated it. |

Torque Question and Auto Tether Recommendation
Is anyone using the Torque widgets? I've set them up, and every time I reboot the unit, they disappear. Are they staying for anyone? Also, I ran across a free auto tether app that has been working great for the last few days. It is called AutoTether for Automatica, and here is the link... https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ethering&hl=en Of course, you install this app on your Android phone, and when you are in bluetooth range of your Ca-Fi, your Wi-Fi hotspot on your phone turns on automatically. There are some reviews that complained it wasn't working properly, but it hasn't missed a beat for me in the three or four days I've been using it. I'm using it on my HTC One M7. |

Hey everyone, I have tried to help out some of the new people by making a Google Doc with a list of common questions & solutions. I'm not sure what the best method for a collaborative document is, so I've currently set it so that anybody with the link can edit. Hopefully this will get filled out some more and maybe we can get SHIFTER to put this or something similar on the first post for new buyers.
Link Here Cheers, Josh |

Oh, I still kept my factory port, it's connected to the back side of the hub in the glovebox, so it basically follows the cord that's connected to the HU out of the glovebox and you never know it's there unless you look up into the glovebox. I tell/show people the hub and explain and they think it's pretty slick.

I'm using MacroDroid for auto tethering. Its basically the same as Tasker, but I find it easier to work with. Its not 100%, occasionally I will leave the car and find that the hotspot is still enabled even though bluetooth is disconnected, but I had the same problem with Tasker.
