Thanks for the clarification on to the point if this was a tune developed specifically for @nlowell's car and hardware. From his post it sounded as if this was the case, but you're saying you just used his car to dial in the tune for release to the public. Was his tune developed with his hardware in mind on a dyno? Just to be clear, is what you're saying that this same tune will be provided "off the shelf" (or "flash and go" as you put it) for others, or is this tune going to be used by your company as a jump off point for developing other OTS tune files? My question is to clarify what services any other Phantom ESC equipped buyer would receive from your company vs. what services @nlowell received if they chose to make the significant additional investment in an ECUTek cable, license, and flex-fuel hardware (if they want to run e85)? Lastly, I really do appreciate and support the work your company is doing for @MicheleAbbate 's car/team. Last edited by DAEMANO; 07-12-2014 at 02:32 PM. |

Full throttle Electric Supercharger Build Thread
Sorry for the confusion. My car was merely used for some fine tune adjustments so that his OTS "Flash and Go "will support the ESC. Anyone can buy the same tune I have for the Flash and Go price listed on his website.

http://datazap.me/u/raven1231/v2-esc...og=0&data=1-12 Voltmeter reads fine as well. Usually sits around 29.5volts and once going full throttle drops to low 20's and goes back up. Might try and get a boost gauge

When my voltmeter wS reading 29 + I had a bad battery. You may want to check your batteries individually.

From what Rob was saying you can check them connected using the copper post, and the opposing polarity on the battery terminal. When I do this they read fine. I might check them individually when I take the system apart anyway.

The same tune we developed in house the past week for the Electric Supercharger is part of our Flash and GO package made for the EcuTeK ProECU package specifically. Our Flash and GO map is actually intended for ALL forced induction applications and we really wanted to test the ESC because of the low boost it was making to make sure our tune works for this package and now it does after the past week of refinement. Basically we have a tune, Flash and GO, that works on just about any forced induction kit on this FA20 platform using purely Speed Density tuning. Yes you are correct there is a significant more investment involved if you would want to run FlexFuel, but there is no need to reflash your ECU every time you want to switch between tunes, you can just drive your car and you do not need to spend the extra time reflashing between tunes. What if say you have a mix of E60 (when you fill up with E85 the first time coming from 91 octane), then what tune do you install? Well with FlexFuel, no worries it is computed automatically, timing, fueling, cams, etc... Also what if you go to a E85 pump and it comes out E51? It has happened to one of our customer (though only one) and just drive your car, once again the ECU adjust automatically. Of course there are more features such as custom traction control outside of the OEM parameters, multiple throttle maps, for easy driving to aggressive driving, and everything can be switched on the fly from the cruise control switch while you are driving. Also the benefit of the Flash and GO maps are that is you choose a specific MAP sensor and injectors that are capable of more boost for down the road, here is the cool part. You could literally install the tune on your ESC vehicle with our Flash and GO tune then down the road when you want to install say a Kraftwerks Supercharger all you would need to do it uninstall the ESC and install the Kraftwerks Kit. No need to do anything else, no tuning, nothing, as the tune is already done, including FlexFuel. That is the beauty of our Flash and GO map, it literally works on everything. We have been testing our Flash and GO map for over a year, refining it constantly, and it finally at a point where we feel very comfortable about it and will be releasing more information about it very soon. Specifically for nlowell, he received a dyno tune with his kit, and we did do quite a bit of driving to make sure it was to the level we expect it to be, not something we usually do, as this was for development purposes and to verify the tune. Though any other customer in the area if they wanted a custom tune is more than welcome to get one from us, and the tune on nlowell would be the same we would offer to anyone else that purchased it directly off our website via Flash and GO. Hopefully that spreads a little more light on how we are thinking. Regards, William Knose Delicious Tuning Last edited by DeliciousTuning; 07-12-2014 at 06:07 PM. Reason: nlowell answered... |
