I think its a great idea especially for those that come from far away to attend. I planned on staying in a hotel/motel myself for at least 2 nights since I will be driving from MA

Oh boy all you guys in one place, i can see it now. i will prob stay at the Hyatt Fairfax at Fair Lakes, looks to be $80 bucks a night after tax.

Guys i booked here: http://www.fairfax.hyatt.com/en/hotel/home.html

it came out to $159.70 from 08/09-08/11...i decided to leave Monday to avoid the weekend rush, worked out to $71 a night plus tax.

Nice price, but not nearly as central as I was thinking. However, I'm planning on staying near Manassas Sunday night, so this may work for me.

Yeah i've stayed here on previous business trips, not bad for the price and only a 25 min drive to Ptuning for Sundays event. I guess let me know if anyone else decides to stay here we can meet up

UPDATE

ODR SCCA just told me, they have contacted few food trucks (2 to be correct) at Sat's Autox event! One is hot dog vendor is other one is called "Little Red Onion" (not sure what that is, if you know, let me know)... BUT if you prefer pizza. There's pizza ice cream place 200ft from the airfield.

& yes, there will be lunch break in autox schedule, so you don't need to drive & eat at the same time lol
