what is the NA/Canada reference?
There isn't one. Only South Africa got it. The onyl way to get the fix if you have a mid 2013 or prior production date is a tune (I know OFT incorporates it, not sure about ECUtek)

But this is porbably better discussed somewhere other than the CSG/RCE suspension thread

So my brakes have been feeling very weak lately. Today while driving at 50mph, i started pressing the brake and as i approached the limit line, i had to press the brake even harder or else i would not have made the stop. I have about 3000 miles on my car and I have a lot of hills on my commute. Could it be that I need new brake pads already? Or is it something else? I remember my FR-S having a very firm pedal and being able to stop on a dime, but now it needs a little more work just to get it to stop.

Unlikely that it is the pads at that mileage.

Pop the hood and look at the brake fluid level. It's possible you have a leak somewhere.

When you are going downhill, how do you control the speed of your vehicle, by brakes or by gear selection?

Mostly by brakes, but I don't hold them for long. My brake fluid is nearly full so I don't think there's a leak

Hopefully not the master cylinder. I would doubt you'd need your brakes bled after that many miles.

Is it possible that you have some oil or other crud on your rotors?

If that's not it you might have some air in the brake line and need to bleed them.

Rotors look nice and shiny. How might have air gotten into my brake lines? (sorry I don't know much about this stuff)

How often do you brake hard? When you brake super hard you can boil the brake fulid, causing air to accumulate in the lines leading to a softer more spongey feeling to the brake pedal.

Hmmm rarely do I ever brake super hard. Would holding the brakes while stopping downhill be enough to boil the brake fluid?

No, I do that constantly on my DD right now, I live on a hill, to get anywhere you have to drive down hill. I usually combo brake using brakes and shifting lower, but I haven't felt any spongeyness in my pedals. Hard braking as in track driving.

In that case no. Haven't been to a track

You may want to bleed your system anyway.
