I rode in a BRZ and the ride was firm without being jarring. I don't foresee it being an issue on long drives. Just make sure your seating position is adjusted properly. Bad posture will make any long drive uncomfortable.

for more Ride comfort why not switch to a 16" set of wheels,
205/55-16 will give that extra cushion.

Yeah, it totally depends. The Evo X is pretty harsh on bigger bumps but that got more acceptable when we put some Michelin tires on it. In my Eclipse, it's pretty responsive to all the bumps which some people consider to be uncomfortable but it's never jarring or harsh unless you hit a pothole of some sort.

I have found that a lot of newer cars are harsh over big bumps but still have too much body roll. I think it may have to do with softer springs but firmer dampers and short/stiff tire sidwalls. But since the FRS/BRZ is a shorter car with a lower CoG to start with, it should be alright. We'll see.

BTW guys, this is not a race car to most people. The ride quality DOES matter to most of us. -_-,

LMAO! Awesome...

It messes with my mind that that there are people wringing their hands about ride quality here. I mean, it's fine if you don't modify the suspension, but to be overly concerned that the STOCK suspension will be too harsh? Wow.

I'm getting the sickening feeling that if these cars were sportbikes, a lot of them would have chicken strips on the tires.

16" wheels with Standard touring tires for a softer ride.

The stock Michelin Primacy HP summer performance tires are a tires for high performance touring, listed as luxury performance touring. The ride may not be that bumpy, the tire gets a 9 for comfort..but there are tires rated a 10 for comfort available.

My understanding is that thanks to the low COG meant they could use softer springs and still keep a good balance of ride comfort and traction. Most reviews have said they were stiff but not too stiff. I think only one reviewer called it "bone jarring", "first name basis with your chiropractor" (paraphrasing) but I would discount that lone opinion as anomalous since the majority of reviews said otherwise.
