Below is a video of the AB Exhaust for comparison with how the ABM Exhaust sounds.

Thank you for the question.
Thanks for getting back to me. I think I like the sound of the AB more...

last question, is buying direct from WORKS the only option? or do you have resellers, maybe even one in Canada?

Thanks!

I love my AB-M. Here's what I can answer that I had questions about and never got before buying:

1: The exhaust goes through both tips, but always at a variable ratio. The low-rpm, low air flow/pressure lets quite a bit through the small opening into the un-muffled tip. Gives it a good idle purr, a bit of a bark under load at low rpm. Cold idle is kinda loud compared to the rest of the time.

2: Once Car warms up, steady speed cruising and idle is barely louder than stock, but when your foot is in it has a nice growl that isn't obnoxious AT ALL.

3: When rpm speed is a bit higher, most of the exhaust flows out of the muffled section, making it more mild when the car is screaming - no honda fartcan sound or raspiness.

4 - It is absolutely NOT a axle-back if you want to be loud or see power gains. It's perfect for people who just wish the car came with a BIT of throaty sound and better looking tips from the factory.

5 - I love it and would buy it again.

Hi KingGeo,

Thank you for your patience! We had a busy and short 4th of July week.

We do have WORKS product dealers, but are currently in process of updating our list to account for our BRZ/FR-S products.

That said, we are able to ship to Canada ourselves and keep in mind that the 10% FT86Club discount is only redeemable by ordering through us directly.

Does the Works MP have an effect on the sound (or performance) compared to using the stock one with the Works ABM? Pretty nice price for an axle back and the $49 off if you get the MP and ABM together and then the 10% off on top of that is a pretty nice deal for a full cat-back!

After their whole claiming 10 hp from just a drop in filter debacle I'm surprised you guys are even still around. Then claiming your mid pipe adds power when Nameless and other vendors have proven no power is gained from modding the mid pipe.

Would rather go with the Greddy SP Elite or Nameless AB IMO.

I have heard you guys dont use 304 SS too.

I have this exhaust and absolutely love the sound. Great for a daily driver car, and has a nice growl when you get on it. I wish I would of purchased it directly from WORKS, because the other vendor took a long time to get it to me. Here is a small review I posted previously.

Love my AB-M. Not too quiet, not too loud on the stock headerback and keeps volume under control after adding a catless header

Hi FR-Sizzle,

In regards to our high-flow drop-in filter, our horsepower gains were measured on our Dynapack Dynamometer on 3 completely stock, early 2013 model vehicles (2 FR-S and 1 BRZ). We measured ~8 hp gain at the wheels over the stock baselines. That converts back to ~10 hp at the crank/engine.

We convert all of our horsepower gain numbers back to crank horsepower, like OEM manufacturer ratings.

The same process was done with our Exhale Mid Pipe with 2 vehicles and when converted back to crank horsepower measured ~5 hp gain.

We do use (and have always used) T-304 stainless steel for our exhaust tips (and muffler on the ABM) with the Axle Back Muffler and Axle Back Exhaust.

We are actually making the AB and ABM in full T-304 stainless steel in the near future!

The current AB and ABM are made with aluminized steel (versus full stainless) to be budget friendly.

Hope that helps!

Thank you!

And yes, the Exhale Mid Pipe does have an effect on both sound and performance.

We observed the Exhale MP being only slightly louder than the stock MP and measured ~5 hp gain (at the crank) by itself.

Got my AB, faster then expected! even after getting a nice message saying it could be slightly delayed (it was not).
got it on last night finally, and so far i LOVE it! louder then I expected but not in a bad way
super easy install, only minor adjustments to get the tips lined up nicely. getting the stock muffler off on the other hand....

hot tip, 2 year old car being the daily year round in Canada, them bolts rust quick!

overall I am super happy, she finally sounds the way it should have from day one

Instagram user "@jayare_0" received and installed his ABM a few days ago. Tag the owner if he is a member on here!

He posted a nice revving clip as well.

Gotta say this is very very tempting to a broke man. The quieter one is just what i wanted, a little more sound coming out the back so the engine doesn't sound like a sewing machine coming apart. Any special pricing or discounts from the price on the site. Trying to see where i could scavenge the money from. Thanks
