There's a thread titled something like "why do people do swaps" that has corner weights for a ls swapped frs. Very much worth it.

We have build many FA20 motors. Our motors have been tested extensively. If you have any questions please let us know. Our short blocks does not use any off the shelf parts. All of the components in our blocks are custom to our specs.

I want a motor that's the same compression ratio as stock basically with forged rods, pistons and head studs that's pretty much it.

LSx engines are not "heavy", just a few pounds heavier than FA20 + turbo kit.
@Pure Automotive @Cross I would do the swap if you trust this local shop and will be left a car that all stock components work. 400+ whp N/A >>> 500+ whp Turbo.

At least from quick research I did online on LS1 and LS3 weight, they seemed really close.
I still might be completely wrong....

All LS1s are aluminum blocks. The truck variants of the LS series have iron blocks (but not all truck variants were Iron either). The LS engines in Aluminum are all pretty light at the end of the day for what they are. Depending on how the swap is done the weight distribution can be decently maintained.

If you have oil in your engine bay, then my guess is that you "windowed" the block. I look forward to the details so I can add you to my list. @nelsmar is the only one I know with a built motor running relatively high compression, but I believe you two don't get along too well.
