I just got over having this issue. I'm all stock minus a k&n drop in filter. After about three weeks of pulling my hair out, I think I found the problem to be a loose wire. It's been three days so far and no codes or stalling around 2500 rpm. Re check your connections, make sure they are tight and also look at the wires going into each harness. I found a yellow wire with a green stripe on my unichip main harness, that had a little copper showing, I pushed it in, along with pushing in every other wire and it's been good. I can finally feel the power of the unichip.... And it's awesome! I hope this helps!

Can you elaborate on this more?

I know this is an old thread.... sue me I'm necroposting.

I got a Weapon R intake a couple months ago and Untuned it ran great, no probs, LTFT and AFR perfect it sounded awesome and provided a little power in the torque dip.

2 weeks ago I got a Unichip. It played well with the intake until a few days ago then my LTFT went very low and was creeping lower. At first it was around -10 which isn't terrible. Then over the course of 3 days it crept down to -23 and then I knew there was a problem.

I tried different maps (mostly fuel - maps) but other maps only made it worse. Resetting the ECU by disconnecting the battery only provided temporary help. Finally I got the p0172 and car ran like ass. Chugging, stinky exhaust, it stalled out no power.

Then I found this thread, uninstalled the Weapon R and went back to the stock intake. The car runs perfectly now, ltft back where they should be, the power is back.

So if you get the low ltft and/or p0172, and you have an intake, start there first.
