That's great feedback @JonAvalon. I'd be interested in seeing 60' times and 1/8 mile times for both the auto and manual modes. Are you ecu tuned?

Sorry guys.

I was referring to this the whole time in this thread, it definitely does something.

No worries.

Have you noticed any difference in acceleration between manual shift mode and auto shift mode?

I haven't noticed it but I haven't been looking for it, my tyres also hook up every time iirc.

I will do some pulls after work today. Now I want to know. Are you talking about just mashing the throttle from a Stand still or launching from a pre-load and brake-torque type launch?

Just mashing the pedal - no brake torque or preloading.

With one foot, go from brake to throttle and hold it to the floor till maybe 60 if you can get that high on your road safely.

Thanks!

From what I tried so far, the sport mode when in manual doesn't make a difference, however when you switch back to auto, it really changes the way the gearbox behaves, and always tries to keep the engine up in the higher rev range

Hey @kavanagh! From my experience, the best launch from a standstill is just mashing it with TC off. Brake standing with TC off gets the car into a semi burnout, but bogs instantly when you release it. I've tried manual mode with vsc, and manual mode with with TC off, both seem to launch the same. I have not tried a full auto launch though. I will try some tests this weekend.

How did you do that launch? Just mash it? Or a combination of brake and gas? What mode were you on?

Ok from a dead stop and just mashing the pedal I tried both: Manual mode in sport and trac full off, auto mode in sport and trac full off an really didn't notice a difference. I also had my wife sit in the passenger seat with her eyes closed for both and she could not tell a difference either.

Manual, sport, trac off. Hold the brake and give it gas to "pre-load" the suspension. Keep holding the brake, it's a feel thing. Mash the gas and let off the brake right befor wheelspin point, 2400 RPM or so.

So I found a place where I could do back to back pulls for each of the 12 scenarios and pulled data logs for each. I'm parsing the data right now, but straight away it seems that auto is *slightly* quicker 0-60. I'm going to have to do 48 back to back pulls to fully quantify that, but with 112*F ambient temps here, I'm just not comfortable doin that until it cools off a little.

Data tables and graphs to follow once I sort the data...

@Lunatic I thought you'd appreciate this thread after I saw you are doing 0-60 testing as well. I'll load my data soon, but enjoying the long weekend in Sedona.
