People know that these products are all essentially the same, just branded and marketed differently. That being said, why do you choose to use the products you use? Is it because you've had experience with everything under the sun and don't like it or is it because you've only had experience with one brand. |

Yes, there's a tremendous markup. There's a tremendous markup on everything you buy. That's called profit. It's not shocking that a bottle of something that sells for $25 only costs $0.30 to produce. That's the way economy of scale works, especially for stuff that you can mix in a 1,000 gallon vat or five. If you're just trying to provoke an emotional response instead of providing solid, verifiable numbers about specific examples, then your comments will fall on deaf ears. You'll get an emotional response, but it will be against you, not against the evil capitalists at Chemical Guys. In short, put up or shut up. |

I'll play!
Pretty simple really @Ryan_west - You say you know what's in most products and the huge margins. Simply tell us a brand that is great quality and sells at a price point that you think is reasonable. If that product doesn't exist then there's not much point to your comments other than saying "car cleaning products when bought in DIY quantities are expensive". Might be true but doesn't actually help anyone.
