USB mic
Has anyone tried using a USB mic on this unit?
The bluetooth call quality on this is horrible for me. I was wondering if a USB mic placed closer to the driver might work better? (the positioning of the mic on this unit on RHD cars is not ideal) |

Rather disappointed that the default music player doesn't support playlists. This is BASIC FUNCTIONALITY, Ca-Fi, get on the ball. Also, the trim panel around the HU doesn't sit quite flush on the right side like it used to; it seems to be catching the lip on the right side of the HU, but no finagling I did got it to sit properly. |

Another weird thing happening is that my Play Store isn't working properly. It says app downloads are starting, but nothing really happens.

The Aux stuff was posted earlier in the thread, I think DC2R or Deathalo gave me some good instructions when I asked. Just follow that and you'll be good. I think you'll find like the rest of us that all of the stock apps suck, but those really aren't the point of the head unit. Definitely get a 3rd party music player to get the most out of your purchase! ![]() You need to bend or file down the mounting brackets just a few millimeters and push the head unit all the way forward. That'll make the center bezel trim fit flush again. |

Maybe @SHIFTER can help everyone out by posting links to the helpful individual posts in this thread on his original first post. Posts about the AUX adapter install and pin placement, posts about rooting, posts about bending the front of the bracket and which holes to use, links to all useful adapters. If it's too much I can always start a new thread with said information for newcomers, but I figure it'd be better to consolidate. On another subject though. VIPER IS more than just an equalizer, it is a software driven audio processor, it has different levels of processing power, which is why the max level requires a high power dual core processor (but the high quality is great and works great on this unit). Viper, when properly configured, makes this unit sound quite fantastic. |

A quick note on your USB adapter, if it didn't easily fit, then they sent you the wrong adapter. You should not have spliced anything, you should've just returned it to the Amazon store you bought it from and ordered again from a different store or something. I don't know what has happened recently with the USB adapter but people are receiving the incorrect adapter from one merchant on Amazon and it's fucking everything up, because the correct adapter is literally simple plug and play, if you can snap in a dog collar you can snap this together. Let this be a lesson to everyone and anyone who has received the wrong adapter, please bitch and complain to the store you bought it from until you get the right thing and/or a refund, plenty of us ordered this without issue, but somewhere down the line people started getting the wrong adapter. A quick note on Poweramp, if you spent close to $600 on this whole HU but can't afford 4 bucks for the absolute best option in terms of audio player (and one of the only ones that can right away read from USB no problem)... well then I can't help you... |
