Almost as if it is hesitating in the lower rpm range, but without all the collateral knock, bang, etc.

I haven't experienced this with other drive by wire cars, newer technology cars. I understand the ecu resets, but i wasn't under the impression it 'learned' a driving style, but more what the parameters of the car are.

Thoughts?
You could also turn the ignition to the all on position (right before cranking it on) step on the gas about 10 times fully, turn off, turn back on and repeat about 3 times. Should fix it right away. I do this whenever I reflash and works like a charm.

The only metal knob I found that resists heat well are the VERY-well powder coated knobs like Flossy and anarchy motive. My raceseng knob sizzles VERY well in heat and sun, and I have to put a velvet cover over it with the ac on for at least 20 minutes for it to cool down enough to grip and shift with.

Mine has not since I got it, that was something that bothered me about another shifter I got.

I have decided to sell my TRD Knob because @MaddBaggins balls are just so nice to hold even when it's hot out... such smooth, cool balls.

Speaking of which, Mad can you make me a new shifter for the Corvette? I have one that's custom made but it's smaller than your normal billiard ball and I don't like it. Getting the one I did from you just made it that much worse every time I drive it.

Whats up with the lack of a wave back from you other FRS / BRZ owners, if I wave at you or thumbs up as I drive by is it too hard to do the same?

Especially the white out owners, think that color has you blinded to other owners.......or the extra money you payed for the color of paper has made you snobbish.

We need a dedicated sub forum just for sell/trade. I need to start tinkering with my car now that I'm back in town, but I'm broke.

Everyone keeps saying you have to pay extra for whiteout. Was it always like that for the frs because the brz the prices were all the same for every color when they came out...

If your balls are getting too hot I suggest you switch to boxers, or take Jeff's advice and bag it. Seeiosly though I haven't had it in the sun too long. Someone else might have to chime in on that.

My 11 ball got SUPER hot. Honestly, the epoxi may have gripped in it because the numbers shifted a bit. (Now angled at driver) There is space inside the ball to drop some rubber if I wanted to fix it, but I like it. -- Will likely be my winter shift knob, though I can throw it on the vehicle for Wednesday for anyone who wants to see it.

(Pedal dance update: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CWXv7UNA7hg"]FRS Pedal dance - YouTube[/ame] -- I do it faster than this, but it shows you what's up.)

As for the wave back -- Ask @Shadoez why we can't get people to wave at us. haha Some owners aren't car people. Car caught some public attention and being that it's sexy, it's become something more than just enthusiast.

Yep, it gets hot but I haven't found it unbearable and the ac cools it quickly.
The blue one is the 2. I'm keeping that one, the 7 and the cue.

I used 500 degree epoxy. The end of the stick probably ate into the resin a little.
I dropped a small piece of rubber in mine to keep the 7 straight.

I drilled all my balls to fit the 86's. I have no problem making one for the vette. I'd just need to check it out and take some measurements before I know for sure.
