Lighter battery would be nice.
Other items that make up the 20% would be?

Hey guys,
I have a whiteout that I built for Autocross but only tracked it one time. I just haven't had the time on the weekends. I just got engaged and need to sell the car for something larger. If anyone is interested in it, feel free to call me, david, at 210-712-3815.

Diff, suspension bushings, motor/trans bushings, lightweight brakes, seats. These may or may not make you faster but that's what would be next.

Diff as in a different type of LSD only? You are not allowed to change transmission and rear end ratios for STX afaik?

Thanks. I have most of those major items but I am really hesitant to touch the powertrain in my car.

PSA: our cars have a "sound generator" on the intake that makes it louder than it should or needs to be. If you install a Perrin inlet tube, not only do you double the horsepower, but the car is 10 times quieter. We now return to your regularly scheduled STX thread.

hey guys, been doing autox for a few years now but this is my first season with the frs, getting it set up as an stx car.

i've been doing pretty good for only having st coilovers and wheels/tires.
running 245/35/18 federal 595 rsr's..most recent even i came in 7th in pax out of 130 people and 4th in stx class out of 30.

the only thing i truly feel the car needs now is a tiny bit more power/throttle response, i find sometimes coming out of hard corners in 2nd it just doesn't have enough pickup. i was thinking of doing a header and tune with a drop in k&n.

I'm just on a small budget this year so i'm not looking to spend much. any recommendations for me?

Don't know what your budget is.. but you looking at about 2k or more for a decent header/exhaust... and a Tune. EL long tube headers are what most of us are using...Nameless Header back and STX Nameless Tune with a 8k redline.. I have no issues pulling out of corners.. But as you know, the Twins are Momentum cars so you have to keep your speed up regardless. .. You might be able to get by on the cheap with a used setup..

Perhaps I missed it but what are the rules regarding aero in STX? I am assuming functional front lips and diffusers are a no go?

They are legal.. I plan to put the STi Stuff on my car Front lip, Side skirts and Rear Aprons from the "Blue" model ...Here is the Rule.
Quote:
F. Addition of spoilers, splitters, rear wings, bumper covers, valances,
side skirts, and non-functional sccops/vents is allowed provided that either:
1. It is a production part which is standard or optional equipment of
a US model of the vehicle. (“Model” is defined in Section 12.3.)
2. It is listed in the vehicle manufacturer’s US accessory catalog
for that vehicle for normal highway use. This does not allow for
parts sold through a manufacturer’s performance catalog (e.g.,
Ford Racing, HPD, Mazdaspeed, Mopar Performance, Mugen,
NISMO, SPT, TRD, etc).
Parts must be installed as directed by the manufacturer. Exact
replicas, including weight, from alternate sources are also permitted.
The part I am not Clear about is, Is the same stuff legal for FRS's...

Quote:
12.3 MODEL
A group of cars of a given make which have virtually identical bodies and chassis but are readily distinguished from other models of the same make by virtue of a major difference in body appearance and/or chassis design. The names by which the manufacturer designates these groups have no bearing on this definition even though two (2) groups may be designated identically.
